Freddie Dickson
Topliner / Artist / Writer / Vocalist
Based In Berlin.
Freddie Dickson is a British indie singer-songwriter known for his dark, atmospheric sound and introspective lyrics. Drawing inspiration from artists like Nick Cave, Portishead, and Sharon Van Etten, Freddie’s music explores themes of isolation, desire, and the shadows of modern life – whether through his solo work, film and TV contributions, or collaborations with other artists.
Alongside his solo career Freddie often writes for other artists in various musical styles including Country, EDM, Dance and Pop. Freddie has worked with the likes of Eg White (Adele, Sam Smith), Sam Dixon (Sia, Adele), Jimmy Hogarth (Dermot Kennedy, The 1975) and is currently working with Partrick Salmy and Riccardo Munoz, Kristine Bogan, Norma Jean Martine, Nick Schilder, Conor Byrne, TCTS, Sebastian Bliem, Tonino Speciale, Andrew Tyler, Nikolai Potthoff, MixKilian and Jo, Martin Jensen, Quarterhead, Brad Mair, Niko Mohr, Lavinia Hope, Robbie McDade, MixFanny Hultman, Ely Oaks, Megan Ashworth among others.
His debut album, Panic Town (2017), merged his classic singer-songwriter roots with a gritty, grunge-infused edge, marking the start of his distinct musical journey. In 2018, seeking fresh inspiration, Freddie moved from London to Berlin, where he would record and produce his second album, Blood Street (2019). A cinematic exploration of contemporary society’s darker corners, Blood Street earned widespread critical acclaim and led to a highly successful headline tour.
In the wake of Blood Street and the tumultuous global climate, Freddie sought personal catharsis through music, turning to the vibrant Berlin music scene for creative renewal. The result was his upcoming EP, Idiot’s Dream, a reflection on the trials and triumphs of relocating to a new city and navigating its nighttime pulse. The EP, recorded with his band in various Berlin studios, showcases Freddie’s evolving sound and deepening collaboration with artists from both London and Berlin.
